Tessera — Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 18, 2026

Tessera (“the app”) is a local multiplayer board game published by Ashray Chowdhry (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version: we do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to ourselves or to any third party. Tessera has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs.

What the app stores on your device

Your display name and your game settings (timers, board options, etc.) are saved locally on your device so the app can remember them between sessions. This information never leaves your device except as described below during a multiplayer match.

What is shared during multiplayer

Tessera matches run directly between players’ devices over local Wi-Fi, a personal hotspot, or Bluetooth — there is no central server and no internet connection is used. When you join or host a match, the following is shared only with the other players in that match, solely to run the game:

This data is used only to play the game in real time and is not retained by us.

Children’s privacy

Tessera does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is rated 4+.
